Things Kids Say

  • I took Ryan to the Perot Science Museum and I told him that we were going to get to feel how an earth quake would feel. He got so excited. He kept asking me about it. He was just jumping all over the place and looking for the earth quake exhibit. Then we were standing at the elevator and he said "Please take me to the earth quake thingy". I looked down to him and saw the he had his hands folded and tucked under his chin. I said "Honey, we are going, it will just be a few more minutes". He replied "I'm not talking to you". Apparently it warranted a request from someone with a whole lot more power than I had.

  • Zoe says..."I put my peanut butter and quackers on my wap". Translation: I'll put my peanut butter and crackers on my lap.
  • Just before a trip, my 3 yr old grandson called to tell me good bye. Ryan: "Pippa, you going to see the bitch?". Me: "I'm sorry honey, what did you say (thinking my hearing was going bad). He repeats "Are you going to see the bitch? My mind is racing.."Oh honey....Am I going to see the BEACH?!? Whew! I thought I was ...going to have a talk with Kimberly and see where he was getting that potty language
  • Zoe says I need to get my tool bitch. She was trying to say tool bench!
  • Grandson, Ryan (4 yr old) says "Pippa, you wanna do some crack?" Me: Excuse me? Ryan: "You wanna do some crack?.....c'mon, you will like it!" Me: Mind spinning and speechless. Ryan: "Mommy does it with me...she likes it". Me: "hmmm..." Ryan: "You cut with the scissors, and draw pictures" Me: "Oh CRAFTS!" Whew!
  • Walking out the door with the grand babies and Zoe the sweet, little, precious 3 yr old begins to march in place and chanting, Hup, 2, 3, 4, Get your butt out the door!
  •
  •  I asked Ryan if he wanted to watch Dora the Exploeror with Zoe.  His response: "No! Girls talking and girl stuff frustrates my ears!"
  • While standing outside with my 4yr old grand daughter Zoe heard an ambulance siren in the background. She starting saying "Pippa, it's a murder scene! Its a murder scene!" Me: "What baby, what is it?" Zoe: "It's a murder scene!" Me: hmmm...what in the world...???. Then she calmed down and said "Pippa, it's a mergency!". Me: "Oh, an emergency (not a murder scene)". Said in a 4yr old voice, the two really do sound the same!
